African Studies new suite of Certificates offer Penn State students the ability to engage in depth with issues and ideas from the African content and peoples. These 12-credit certificates will provide students with topical knowledge and skills where it insects with the African perspective. These certificates offer a way for students to develop and demonstrate skills and knowledge related to the African places and people, in parallel with other majors and minors (without needing to meet the requirements of a major or minor in African Studies).
We encourage students to consider these certificates as a way to highlight their expertise on their resumes.
