Professor Sinfree Makoni, and his research partner, a former graduate Dr. Rebecca Bayeck, were selected as 1 of the 5 recipients from around the world, to receive funding for their research on Songo Board Games. This research promises to shed light on cross-cultural communication and, interestingly, pan-african convergences, as it is a game found all over the continent.
