Mercy Muganyizi

Professional Bio

Mercy B. Muganyizi is a second year PhD student in Architectural Engineering majoring in construction with a minor in African Studies. She has a keen interest in sustainable building construction practices in developing economies where her current research seeks to explore the efficiency of vertical greenery systems in cooling and improve the indoor thermal conditions in context of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Mercy holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Ardhi University in Tanzania (2012), and MSc in Sustainable Building Technology from the University of Nottingham, UK. (2017). She has worked as an assistant teaching lecturer of Architecture and Interior Design at Ardhi University from 2014 to date.
