Professional Bio
Gideon Kiptoo holds a bachelor of education (Arts) in German and Christian Religious Education from Kenyatta University and an M.A. in German Studies from the University of Arizona. He also participated in the UNESCO kulturweit Tandem Program in Renchen-Ulm, Germany, where he engaged in projects addressing anti-Black racism and inclusion.
His interdisciplinary research examines questions of illness, disability, and Heimat, in German literature and film, with intersections in African Studies.
