Professional Bio

Vivian Yenika-Agbaw is Professor of Education, Literature and Literacies, and African Studies. She is the author of Representing Africa in Children’s Books: Old and New Ways of Seeing (Routledge, 2008), and co-editor with Lindah Mhando of African Youth in Contemporary Literature and Popular Culture: Identity Quest (Routledge, 2014). She currently serves as a judge on the Children’s Africana Book Award (CABA) committee.
